REGULAR BRIEFING MEETING OF ULAANBAATAR CITY EXECUTIVES WAS HELD

 

🇲🇳 The regular briefing meeting of Ulaanbaatar City executives was held today, with G. Gangamurun, Chief Executive Officer of Ulaanbaatar Investment Management JSC, owned by the Capital City, in attendance.

✅ During the meeting, participants discussed the implementation of assignments given at the previous briefing meeting, ongoing measures to protect Ulaanbaatar City from flood risks, preparations for the “Khuree Tsam–Danshig Naadam 2026” event, the progress of the Capital City’s procurement activities, and preparations for International Children’s Day.

➡️ It was reported that the implementation rate of the 20 assignments given during the briefing meeting held on May 19 had reached 77.5 percent.

✅ As part of Ulaanbaatar City’s flood risk prevention efforts, several works are being carried out. These include the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of flood protection facilities, dams, and channels; the installation of road rainwater and groundwater drainage networks; the regular operation of pumping stations; and the use, monitoring, research, and analysis of monitoring wells.

✅ In addition, in 2026, the installation of 17.1 kilometers of drainage pipelines is planned across 19 locations. Of this, 1.2 kilometers of road rainwater drainage pipelines have been completed at six locations. Meanwhile, the installation of one kilometer of pipeline at three priority locations where water accumulation is critical is currently 50 percent complete.

🇲🇳✅ At the conclusion of the meeting, the Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, B. Purevdagva, gave a number of instructions to relevant organizations. These included increasing the supply of reserve meat, supporting the Government’s “Let’s Free Up” initiative, accelerating preparations for the Capital City’s budget amendment, consolidating and presenting the progress of investment and construction projects, ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health requirements, and organizing preventive measures against river, flood, and water related hazards.
