CONSTRUCTION OF THE “SELBE 20-MINUTE CITY” PROJECT CONTINUES

 

The construction of the “Selbe 20-Minute City” project is progressing actively, with the aim of decentralizing Ulaanbaatar, redeveloping ger areas into apartment housing, and reducing air pollution and traffic congestion.

Under the project, a total of 113 residential blocks are planned to be constructed, including 93 nine storey blocks and 20 twelve storey blocks. As of today, concrete casting works for the ninth floors of some residential buildings have commenced.

The construction works are being carried out by domestic companies. Currently, a total of 2,067 workers and 102 units of machinery and equipment are operating at the project site.

Upon completion, the “Selbe 20-Minute City” project will create a modern urban environment where residents can access workplaces, schools, kindergartens, and commercial and public services within a short period of time, while contributing to reduced traffic congestion.
