FOLLOW UP MEETING HELD WITH THE EUROPEAN INVESTMENT BANK
🇲🇳✅ UBIM held a follow up meeting with the European Investment Bank /European Investment Bank – EIB Global/ to discuss financing opportunities and potential areas of cooperation for major development projects and programmes.
➡️ Previously, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. G. Gangamurun, Director of Operations and Compliance Department, Mrs. L. Tsolmontuya, and relevant representatives held an official meeting at the headquarters of the European Investment Bank in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on potential projects to be implemented in Ulaanbaatar and local areas, including renewable energy, digital infrastructure, green housing, and environmentally sustainable development initiatives.
➡️ At this follow up meeting, the parties further elaborated on the areas discussed during the previous engagement and exchanged detailed views on renewable energy investment in Mongolia, green financing for Ulaanbaatar city, gas and mini grid solutions, investment opportunities in the forestry sector, and financing options for green housing projects.
✅ The meeting also covered potential cooperation with the European Investment Bank in relation to a possible financing framework of EUR 200 million, refinancing opportunities, technical assistance, advisory services, and support for preparing projects for financing.
✅ The parties emphasized that Mongolia has significant potential to become a new regional hub for sustainable development, green finance, and the digital economy by leveraging its abundant renewable energy resources, strategic geographic location, and climatic advantages.
🇲🇳✅ UBIM is gradually expanding its cooperation with international financial institutions and is working to attract long term and concessional financing sources for development projects in Ulaanbaatar and local areas, develop project financing structures, and providing proffessional advisory support to advance sustainable development initiatives.
