REGULAR BRIEFING OF ULAANBAATAR CITY SENIOR OFFICIALS HELD

 

🇲🇳 A regular briefing of Ulaanbaatar City senior officials was held, with G. Gangamurun, Chief Executive Officer of UBIM, in attendance. During the meeting, participants discussed the progress and implementation of ongoing construction works, engineering infrastructure, public safety, urban standards, energy efficiency, and road and public space repair and renovation projects being carried out in Ulaanbaatar.

➡️ During the briefing, it was reported that, as of March 17, 2026, the implementation rate of the 60 assigned tasks and directives stood at 80.5 percent.

➡️ It was also highlighted that in 2026 the following tasks have been assigned:

✔️ Restore 3,062 trees and shrubs, 424 meters of vegetative hedge, and 1.3 hectares of lawn area;

✔️ Install 19 km of stormwater drainage pipeline networks at 16 locations;

✔️ Connect 6,655 cameras at 3,346 points, along with 373 cameras from 250 private sector entities, to the integrated system;

✔️ Remove 410 garages, fences, and barriers at 34 locations across the six central districts;

✔️ Fully complete the installation of gas heating equipment by April 30, 2026;

✔️ Intensify the dismantling, transportation, and site clearance of 18 major facilities under the “Selbe 20-Minute City” project;

✔️ Remove 27 unauthorized or visually disruptive billboards and resolve 278 address related violations;

✔️ Gradually resolve issues related to 894 permitted and 159 unauthorized households located in flood risk areas;

✔️ Implement thermal insulation works on 115 building blocks during 2025–2026;

✔️ Strengthen oversight of the use of electric bicycles and scooters and improve traffic safety;

✔️ Accelerate restoration and repair works on damaged roads, pedestrian walkways, and streets in apartment complexes and ger districts.

🇲🇳✅ It was further emphasized that the implementation of major projects and programs in the capital not only improves urban infrastructure, public safety, and service accessibility, but also plays an important role in strengthening the city’s long term investment environment, as noted by the Mayor.
