DISCUSSIONS HELD ON THE POTENTIAL FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT IN KHARKHORUM CITY

Mrs. G. Gangamurun, Chief Executive Officer of UBIM, and Ts. Battur, Governor of Songinokhairkhan District, met with Doo Mun-Teak, Manager of the Division of Future Energy and Hydrogen under the Energy Industry Bureau of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Republic of Korea, to exchange views on the possibility of implementing renewable energy development projects in Kharkhorum City, as well as establishing a substation to serve 10 households.
During the meeting, the parties discussed:
Renewable energy infrastructure solutions
Opportunities to ensure a reliable energy supply for newly developing urban areas
Conditions for the phased implementation of small scale substations and distribution network solutions
Prospects for future cooperation and investment directions
This meeting was significant in exploring opportunities to develop Kharkhorum City’s basic energy infrastructure based on modern and sustainable energy sources, while also supporting broader regional development.

UBIM is currently implementing a renewable energy project in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). In the context of new city development, UBIM is actively contributing to the structuring of investment frameworks, financing opportunities, and cooperation models in the energy sector, with the aim of turning sustainable development projects into practical implementation.
