MEETING HELD WITH THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF MONGOLIA ON COOPERATION IN INNOVATION AND INVESTMENT

 

The management team of UBIM, met with representatives of the National University of Mongolia to exchange views on supporting a knowledge based economy, bringing innovation into economic circulation, and exploring investment opportunities.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Professor B. Davaasuren, Vice Rector for Planning and Investment of the National University of Mongolia, D. Badmaanyambuu, Director of the Investment Department, along with other relevant officials, and the parties discussed opportunities for future cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on:

Bringing science and technology based projects and initiatives into economic circulation,

Identifying investment opportunities based on research and innovation outcomes,

Expanding partnerships among universities, industry, and the private sector,

Supporting technology based startups and the innovation ecosystem,

Establishing optimal structures for long term sustainable financing and investment.

It was also highlighted that the Ulaanbaatar Science and Technology Park, being developed under the leadership of the National University of Mongolia, is a strategic initiative aimed at accelerating innovation based on validated research outcomes, building partnerships with industry and the private sector, and supporting entrepreneurship that contributes to economic growth.

This initiative is particularly significant in that it serves as an important platform for creating a collaborative environment among technology based startups and research centers, fostering an open innovation ecosystem, and opening new opportunities for attracting investment.

UBIM continues to support cooperation aimed at developing knowledge, innovation, and technology based projects into viable investment opportunities and establishing optimal long term financing structures.
