PROGRESS OF 16 MEGA PROJECTS DISCUSSED AT THE RAPID RESPONSE HEADQUARTERS MEETING

 

🇲🇳 The progress of 16 mega projects being implemented in phases to address Ulaanbaatar’s pressing challenges including traffic congestion, air pollution, and energy shortages was reviewed at the Rapid Response Headquarters meeting.

➡️ The meeting placed particular emphasis on accelerating land acquisition, tender procedures, engineering infrastructure preparations, and inter-project coordination.

📌 Key updates included:

✅ Land acquisition for the Ulaanbaatar Tram project remains delayed across 278 land units.

✅ Four companies have participated in the tender for the Ring Expressway project, and the submitted materials are currently under review.

✅ Pipeline installation works for the Tuul-1 Collector project have been carried out across 900 hectares.

✅ Land acquisition for the Khanyn Material project has reached 98% completion.

✅ Under the Selbe 20-Minute City project, land acquisition has reached 2,095 out of 2,206 land units, with implementation progressing 3% ahead of schedule.

✅ The detailed assessment of the BRT project is 70% complete, while three companies have been selected for the 90 MW battery energy storage project in Khunnu City.

✅ Rope installation works for the Cable Car project are scheduled to begin on April 20.
