B. Bayarmaa, Board Member of UBIM G. Gangamurun, Chief Executive Officer, and L. Tsolmontuya, Head of Operatians and Compliance Department, together with D. Enkhjargal, President of the Mongolian Women in Finance Association, held a meeting at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange on green bonds and sustainable finance.
The Luxembourg Green Exchange /LGX/, operated by the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, is one of the world’s first platforms dedicated to green and sustainable securities and holds an important position in the international green bond market.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on international requirements for issuing green bonds, investor criteria, ESG reporting, audit and verification processes, and transparency standards.
For Mongolia, the need to attract long term investment is increasing in areas such as renewable energy, green buildings, water and waste infrastructure, electric transport, and sustainable agriculture. In this context, issuing green bonds in line with international standards is important for attracting new financing sources, strengthening investor confidence, and advancing sustainable development projects.
