FINAL MEETING OF THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF COP17 HELD

🌎 The 19th and final meeting of the National Committee responsible for organizing the 17th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP17) was held today.

🇲🇳 During the meeting, 23 negotiation agenda items to be addressed by Mongolia’s delegation at COP17 were presented. The Committee also reviewed the operational readiness of the organizing teams, including government officials, volunteers, simultaneous interpreters for the six official languages of the United Nations, transportation personnel, and other supporting staff who will work throughout the conference.

🤝 The National Committee expressed its appreciation to all organizations, officials, and volunteers who contributed to the preparations for COP17. It was also emphasized that Mongolia is fully prepared to welcome international delegates and guests and to host the conference.

🇲🇳✅ UBIM, has been contributing to the activities implemented by the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar as part of the preparations for COP17.
