CABLE CAR TRANSPORT PROJECT CABINS RECEIVED
As part of the modernization of Ulaanbaatar’s public transportation system, equipment for the Yarmag–Kharkhorin cable car transport project has begun arriving from France in phases.

Of the total 98 cabins manufactured by the French contractor, the “POMA” Group, the first batch of 28 cabins, along with electrical connection cables, has now been received.
The cable car cabins feature smart control systems, multi level safety protection, wind and weather sensors, automatic locking mechanisms, backup power systems, and heated seats to ensure passenger comfort during winter. Prior to commissioning, the system will undergo rigorous multi-stage testing in accordance with strict safety standards.

The project is being supported by “UBIM”, within the framework of the city’s development policy and public transport infrastructure modernization. The company is contributing by preparing investment studies and supporting effective project implementation.
Once operational, the project is expected to provide a practical solution to reduce traffic congestion and save both time and costs for residents.
