OPEN TENDER ANNOUNCED FOR THE PUBLIC ZONE OF “SELBE 20-MINUTE CITY”

An open selection process has been launched for private sector entities interested in implementing projects in the public zone of the “Selbe 20-Minute City” project. The tender officially opened on January 16, 2026.

At the opening ceremony, U. Baatar, CEO of “Selbe 20-Minute City Corporation” LLC, emphasized that the Selbe City project is a mega urban development aimed at reducing congestion in Ulaanbaatar by providing an integrated solution for housing, services, and public spaces.

The project is currently 21% complete, and the first phase of residential buildings will be commissioned in May 2027.

The “Selbe City” project is being developed on 158 hectares and will include 8,575 housing units along with service, business, and cultural facilities, forming a comprehensive urban environment. Once fully completed, the city is expected to accommodate 45,000–50,000 residents and generate an average daily economic flow of 250,000 people.

Within the framework of this project, Ulaanbaatar Investment and Management JSC (UBIM) is working to support private sector participation and coordinate investment models.
