AN INTERNATIONAL-STANDARD TRANSIT HOTEL PROJECT TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN HUNNU CITY
In 2025, Chinggis Khaan International Airport served more than 45,000 transit passengers, demonstrating a clear and growing need to develop transit service infrastructure in Ulaanbaatar.
Based on this demand, a comprehensive hotel project has been designed within the airport’s public, commercial, and service zone, covering 3.3 hectares of land and 25,000 sq.m of total floor area, planned as a five-storey building with full-service facilities.
The transit hotel will be directly connected to Chinggis Khaan International Airport through a 350-meter enclosed corridor, allowing passengers to access accommodation and services without leaving the airport, ensuring comfort for short stays and transit rest.

As part of the project, Ulaanbaatar Investment and Management JSC (UBIM) is currently assessing the feasibility of implementing the “Ulaanbaatar–Hunnu” Transit Hotel Project under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) framework, anchored to the international airport.
This project holds strategic importance in positioning Hunnu City as a regional hub for transit, logistics, and services, while supporting tourism growth and creating new drivers for the city’s economic development.
