SLUDGE INCINERATION PLANT PROJECT TO BE IMPLEMENTED THROUGH PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP
🇲🇳 As urbanization and population concentration increase, the volume of wastewater is rising, resulting in a growing amount of sludge generated during the treatment process. To address this challenge in an environmentally friendly and safe manner, the Sludge Incineration Plant Project is planned to be implemented during 2025–2027 through a public private partnership framework. A preliminary evaluation of the project proposal is currently underway.
🇲🇳 In line with the project UBIM, is responsible for attracting investment to the city’s infrastructure projects, organizing private sector participation, and structuring project financing.
✅ Once operational, the plant will have the capacity to dewater, dry, and incinerate 250 m³ of sludge per day, reducing it to 5–6 m³ of ash. The facility is planned to be constructed on a 40,000 m² site in front of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant.
✅ Upon completion, the project will significantly reduce environmental pollution, improve the reliability of the city’s engineering infrastructure, and is expected to generate a positive economic impact of MNT 4.4 trillion, making it a project of strategic importance for sustainable urban development.
