SITE VISIT CONDUCTED TO REVIEW THE PROGRESS OF THE SHARKHAD SUB CENTER GREEN HOUSING PROJECT

🇲🇳 Mr. B. Purevdavaa, Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, visited the Sharkhad Sub center Green Housing Project to review construction progress and provided guidance to relevant officials on accelerating project implementation.

✅ Financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the project is being implemented on a 3 hectare site in the 19th Khoroo of Bayanzurkh District. It aims to develop an environmentally sustainable residential community comprising 338 green housing units, supporting the phased redevelopment of Ulaanbaatar’s ger areas into climate-resilient urban neighborhoods.

🏗️ Current Progress

* Phase I: Four residential blocks comprising 110 green housing units have been completed and are ready for occupancy.
* Phase II: Construction of six residential blocks with 228 housing units is progressing, with overall completion reaching 72%.

🇲🇳✅ UBIM is responsible for preparing the financing and investment arrangements for the project’s next phase in close cooperation with the Asian Development Bank and the Green Climate Fund. Through this initiative, UBIM continues to strengthen international partnerships and mobilize sustainable financing to support the development of climate resilient and affordable housing in Ulaanbaatar.
