MONGOLIA’S TOTAL FOREIGN TRADE TURNOVER REACHED USD 16.5 BILLION

According to the preliminary results released by the National Statistics Office of Mongolia, the country traded with 150 countries during the first half of 2026, with total foreign trade turnover reaching USD 16.5 billion.

Trade performance:

* Exports: USD 10.4 billion
* Imports: USD 6.1 billion
* Trade surplus: USD 4.3 billion

Exports remained highly concentrated, with 94.1% (USD 9.8 billion) destined for China, followed by Switzerland (3.6%) and the United States (0.8%).

On the import side, China accounted for 39.7%, followed by Russia (28.4%), Japan (9.0%), South Korea (3.8%), the United States (3.3%), and Germany (2.3%).
