Macroeconomic Indicators
The policy rate of the Bank of Mongolia remains unchanged at 12.0%. Core inflation stands at 6.4%, while both the national inflation rate and Ulaanbaatar city inflation are recorded at 11.2%.
Foreign Exchange Market
The Mongolian tögrög was quoted at MNT 3,602.74 per U.S. dollar, MNT 4,128.00 per euro, MNT 532.16 per Chinese yuan, and MNT 45.25 per Russian ruble.
Mongolian Stock Exchange
Total trading turnover reached MNT 1.02 billion, while the market capitalization increased to MNT 13.99 trillion. The TOP-20 Index closed at 52,048.46 points. MGLA recorded the highest trading activity of the day, while MDR led the market gainers with a 15.73% increase.
International Markets
Major global equity indices, including the Dow Jones Industrial Average, FTSE 100, Nikkei 225, and Hang Seng Index, closed higher, whereas the Nasdaq Composite ended the session lower. In the commodities market, gold, silver, natural gas, and copper prices advanced, while Brent crude oil edged slightly lower.
