MONGOLIA’S ECONOMIC AND CAPITAL MARKET OUTLOOK DISCUSSED
Representatives of UBIM participated in “Fitch on Mongolia 2026,” an event focused on Mongolia’s economic outlook, sovereign credit profile, financial sector, and capital market prospects.
The discussions covered Mongolia’s economic growth, fiscal and external sector conditions, financial sector outlook, sustainable finance, ESG, and strategies and opportunities for raising financing through the capital markets. International and domestic financial sector representatives exchanged views on the key factors shaping Mongolia’s economic and investment environment.
According to Fitch Ratings’ forecasts, Mongolia’s economy is projected to grow by 5.3% in both 2026 and 2027, supported by the mining sector and investment activity. At the same time, participants highlighted that reliance on external financing, commodity price cycles, and export concentration remain key risk factors affecting the country’s economic and sovereign credit outlook.
