MONGOLIA TO STRENGTHEN INVESTMENT CLIMATE AND ATTRACT MORE FOREIGN INVESTMENT
At its meeting on September 23, 2026, the Government of Mongolia presented an action plan aimed at improving the country’s investment climate and increasing foreign direct investment.
The Government has set a target to increase annual foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows to USD 5.5 billion by 2028.
Key measures include enhancing the stability and predictability of the legal and regulatory environment for investors, strengthening mechanisms to attract, retain, and facilitate investment, and providing policy support for investment in green finance and renewable energy.

UBIM works to prepare Ulaanbaatar’s projects and programs for investors, enhance their investment readiness, develop appropriate financing structures, and connect projects with domestic and international sources of capital.
Accordingly, government policies aimed at creating a more stable investment environment and increasing foreign investment provide an important foundation for expanding Ulaanbaatar’s access to international investment as well as green and sustainable financing sources.
