GREETINGS ON THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF OLDER PERSONS

 

On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, we extend our warmest greetings and sincere appreciation to all senior citizens who have dedicated their knowledge, experience, and years of service to the development and progress of Mongolia and its capital city, Ulaanbaatar.

Through Resolution 45/106, adopted on December 14, 1990, the United Nations General Assembly designated October 1 as the International Day of Older Persons. This day recognizes the invaluable contributions of senior citizens to society, the economy, families, and communities, while highlighting the importance of their active participation, well being, social protection, and quality of life.

The contribution of the senior generations who laid the foundations of modern Ulaanbaatar and devoted their knowledge, hard work, and experience to the development of the country and its capital is immeasurable.
