IT MODERNIZATION POLICY OF ULAANBAATAR CITY GOVERNMENT DISCUSSED

 

Leaders of Ulaanbaatar’s government and administrative organizations, IT officials, and representatives of relevant institutions convened to discuss the current state of the information technology sector and upcoming modernization policies.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. S. Badral, CEO of “Chimege Systems” LLC, presented on the use of artificial intelligence, its potential applications within government institutions, and global trends. He emphasized that integrating AI technologies into areas such as document processing, petition and complaint resolution, customer service, education, healthcare, budgeting, and procurement could significantly improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

 

During the discussion, City Mayor Kh. Nyambaatar outlined the key IT modernization goals for the city’s government and administrative organizations. He announced that the 2026 plan includes transitioning to smart systems, which will enable the creation of an integrated citywide data platform—allowing operations to shift toward a more efficient, data-driven model.

 

Mr. N. Ser-Od, Cybersecurity Manager at Ulaanbaatar Investment and Management Securities Company (UBIM), participated in the meeting, received updates related to the implementation of the city’s IT modernization policy, and represented the organization’s engagement in the discussion.
