16 HIGHLIGHT ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE CAPITAL CITY IN 2025

🇲🇳 In 2025, Ulaanbaatar city successfully implemented the following 16 major projects and initiatives across urban development, infrastructure, housing, and the social sector:

✅ Commissioned 110-unit green housing projects each in Shar Khad and Bayankhoshuu
✅ Signed a historic contract to build Thermal Power Plant No. V — the first such project in Mongolia in 42 years
✅ Introduced semi-coke briquette fuel for public use in the capital
✅ The Capital City Property Relations Department generated MNT 17.8 billion in revenue
✅ Renewed the municipal public utility fleet with 167 new vehicles and machinery
✅ Repaired and upgraded more than 190 km of roads citywide in 2025
✅ Installed 18 support pillars for the cable car transportation system
✅ Launched construction of Selbe City, the first “20-Minute City” project
✅ Installed and commissioned 16.3 km of stormwater drainage pipelines
✅ Renovated 95,000 square meters of pedestrian walkways across 13 locations
✅ Fully reconstructed Zaisan Bridge after 54 years of use
✅ Completed land clearance on 3,933 plots across the capital
✅ Demolished the damaged Building No. 207 affected by an explosion
✅ Relocated 1,436 street kiosks (TÜЦ) from six central districts, freeing public spaces
✅ Opened a 3.9 km road connecting Tolgoit Road with Ard Ayuush Avenue
✅ Commissioned 7 schools, 19 kindergartens, and 7 combined primary school–kindergarten complexes
