 MONGOLIA’S CAPITAL MARKET: 2025 OVERVIEW

 

Mongolia’s capital market recorded overall growth in 2025, however the pace of growth was uneven, and investors remained cautious in their financing decisions throughout the year.

 MSE TOP-20 Index

By the end of 2025, the index reached approximately 54,500 points, reflecting an around 7% increase over the past 12 months.

 Market Capitalization

Total market capitalization reached approximately MNT 13.2 trillion, maintaining a foundation for long-term growth.

Trading Activity

In the third quarter of 2025, securities worth MNT 547.8 billion were traded, with average daily turnover of around MNT 3 billion.

Equity Market

Out of 143 listed companies whose securities were traded:

➕ Share prices of 48 companies increased

➖ Share prices of 89 companies declined

While secondary market trading showed growth, primary market activity weakened compared to the previous year.

 In 2025, “Ulaanbaatar Investment and Management JSC,” (UBIM), actively contributed in a professional capacity to connecting the Capital City’s projects to international capital markets and developing non budget financing solutions.
