“ULANBAATAR INVESTMENT AND ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPANY” JSC “ERDENES BAYANBOGD” SOE LLC

“Erdenes Bayanbogd” SOE LLC was established by a Government resolution of Mongolia with participation from Erdenes Mongol LLC (34%) and the locally owned Ulaanbaatar City Development Corporation JSC (66%). The company plans to develop an integrated coal and energy program based on the Bayanbogd coal deposit, with an annual production capacity of 10 million tons of thermal coal.

Within this framework, “Ulaanbaatar Investment and Asset Management Company” JSC held a meeting with representatives of the company to discuss joint implementation of financial and investment management for a project to be carried out in Ulaanbadrah soum, Dornogovi province, including: a 300 MW power plant, and a 220 kV, 120 km transmission line (TL).

The parties exchanged views on the financing structure, investment model, implementation phases, and risk management, and reached a shared understanding aimed at achieving tangible results through cooperation.

The project is expected to enhance regional energy reliability and make a significant contribution to industrial development and local economic growth.
