MEETING HELD WITH THE INTEGRATED PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE 1ST AND 2ND RING ROAD PROJECTS

“UBIM” held a meeting with Mr. Erbol.A, Director and Project Manager for Roads and Road Facilities at the Integrated Project Management Office, along with other relevant officials, within the framework of the 1st and 2nd Ring Road projects aimed at reducing traffic congestion, lowering air pollution, and upgrading Ulaanbaatar city’s transport infrastructure.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current progress of the First and Second Ring Road projects, feasibility studies, implementation stages, potential financing options, inter-sectoral coordination, and key risks.

Information was shared regarding the open tender process to select a construction contractor for the First Ring Road project, which is intended to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in Ulaanbaatar. Through this project, a new multi-lane road network meeting international standards will be constructed in the capital city.

The meeting also discussed the Second Ring Road project, which is designed to connect suburban sub-centers and intersect with the Tuul Expressway and the First Ring Road.

Currently, the feasibility study for the Second Ring Road project is 90% complete.

“UBIM” agreed to continue working together on financing models, investment structures, and policy coordination, and to further deepen research and preparatory work for the implementation of these projects.
