“SHUNSHIG GEGEEN” PROJECT, A MODEL GER DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE HAS COMMENCED

 

The Governor’s Office of the Capital City and the Ulaanbaatar Housing Corporation have officially launched a ger district redevelopment project in the 8th khoroo of Khan-Uul District. Through an open selection process, the “Shunshig Gegeen” project proposed by MD Top LLC was approved, and the project inauguration ceremony was held.

Project details:

Location: 1–10 Songsgolon streets, 8th khoroo, Khan-Uul District

Total area: 24.77 hectares

Residential units: 2,896 apartments

As part of the first phase, land clearance for 1.4 hectares has been completed after signing agreements with affected residents and providing compensation.

The project also plans to develop a comprehensive residential complex within four years, including:

A 360-child capacity kindergarten

Two schools with 1,200 student capacity each

Swimming pool and fitness facilities

Clubhouse

Children’s playgrounds

Green spaces and landscaped areas

UBIM is actively working to structure financing mechanisms and mobilize investment sources for strategic urban development and infrastructure projects of the capital city.

UBIM is currently implementing the financing scheme for the “Selbe 20-Minute City” project and advancing the “Bayankhoshuu Sub center” project through its managed investment vehicle, the Eco District and Affordable Green Housing Fund.
