MEETING HELD ON A PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP PROJECT TO SUPPLY REMOTE DISTRICTS WITH RENEWABLE ENERGY

🇲🇳 UBIM is implementing a joint initiative with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) aimed at gradually transitioning ger district households to renewable energy sources and strengthening the city’s energy sustainability.

➡️ Within the framework of the project, UBIM will focus on:

✔️ Managing investment and coordinating project implementation

✔️ Linking international support and financing with tangible infrastructure development

✔️ Developing a pilot renewable energy model project that can be implemented across the city

🇲🇳 Today, UBIM Chief Executive Officer G. Gangamurun, together with the project working group, met with private sector representatives to review and discuss the “Mountain Wind” project, which aims to provide renewable energy solutions for remote areas of Ulaanbaatar.

➡️ The project proposes establishing an “Ulaanbaatar Renewable Energy Hub”, developing a 20–50 MW hybrid wind and solar power system to supply sustainable and environmentally friendly electricity to districts located far from the central power grid.

🌱 This initiative represents an important step toward improving energy accessibility and reliability in Ulaanbaatar, while also supporting the transition toward green development and clean energy.
