NEW REGULATION ON SUPPLYING RENEWABLE ENERGY TO THE GRID HAS COME INTO EFFECT
By Order A/42 of the Minister of Energy dated March 2, 2026, the updated regulation titled “Regulation on Supplying Electricity Generated from Consumer Renewable Energy Sources to the Distribution Grid” has officially come into force.
This regulation establishes the legal framework for households and businesses to supply electricity generated from small scale renewable energy sources to the distribution grid and sell excess energy, thereby promoting the wider adoption of green energy.

UBIM is implementing a joint project with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) aimed at gradually transitioning ger area households to renewable energy and improving the city’s energy sustainability.
Within the framework of the project, UBIM is responsible for investment management and project coordination, while also aligning international financing with practical infrastructure development and advancing pilot renewable energy model projects at the city level.
