WASTEWATER RECYCLING PLANT READY FOR COMMISSIONING

🇲🇳 The wastewater recycling plant, aimed at protecting Ulaanbaatar’s water resources, optimizing industrial water consumption, and introducing environmentally friendly solutions, is ready for operation and is scheduled to be officially commissioned next Monday.

➡️ The plant will recycle wastewater discharged from the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant and supply the treated water to Thermal Power Plants III and IV.

As a result:

✔️ The consumption of fresh water by power plants will be reduced.

✔️ Recycled water will be used for cooling and ash disposal operations.

✔️ It will contribute to the sustainable use of the city’s water resources and environmental protection.

🏗 Construction of the project began in August 2021, including the development of the plant facilities and the installation of pipeline infrastructure connecting the plant to the thermal power stations.

✅ In the future, the facility is designed with the potential to expand its capacity, allowing recycled water to be supplied not only to power plants but also to industrial facilities and businesses.
