ULAANBAATAR TO BE DIVIDED INTO 14 AUTONOMOUS CITIES

The city of Ulaanbaatar will be reorganized into 14 independent city units: Khan-Uul, Yarmag, Buyant-Ukhaa, Songinokhairkhan, Bayankhoshuu, Tolgoit, Önör, Bayangol, Chingeltei, Selbe, Sukhbaatar, Bayanzurkh, Dari-Ekh, and Amgalan.

      This reorganization will reduce 204 khoroos (sub-districts) to 42 units, creating self-governing municipal cities. The plan aims to:

• Cut administrative costs;
• Reduce the number of civil servants;
• Implement direct budget management and local governance reforms.

UBIM OFFICE ADDRESS CHANGE

Effective June 1, the new official address of UBIM will be:

Room 1605, 16th Floor, Eco International Tower, Enkhtaivan Avenue, 1st Khoroo, Sukhbaatar City.
